Put that Pre-Made Dressing Down! Make Your Own

My Aunt recently wrote me via Facebook:

I’m thinking of doing a green/chicken salad tonight. I also have pecans, and was wondering what the spices would be for a ranch-esque dressing or what a good dressing would be? I’m not into a lot of vinegar, but I have both yoghurt and buttermilk.

Glad you asked Auntie Laurie! I threw together a little concoction I like to call my Southwestern Ranch Dressing. You will be able to see the recipe over at Well Done Chef, but for now, enjoy the video!

There you have it! With 1 secret tool, you can have your own Southwestern Ranch Dressing! Is there any reason to buy the other stuff? Let me know in the comments!

jacques pepin makes the best salad dressing: evoo, red wine vinegar, sugar, garlic, honey, dijon. fabulous.
I am so trying yours. I love homemade dressings. I am known to drink them. TASTY!

@vanillasugarblog – Oh yes, I LOVE that version by Jacques! I am not sure about drinking the dressing, but it sure is good!
