Day 6: Get Ready For A Full Buck Moon

What does a person do on the full moon? Well, when the Moon App sends Siri to tell you that the Full Moon cycle has began, it behooves a guy to get it started.

I like to use the cycle of the moon to set goals.

Why?

It’s hard-coded into chucks of 29.5 days, and something I can see to visually remind myself to actually set goals, journal, and adjust course.

First, set up a time to do the ritual. When will the Buck moon make its appearance?

My Moon Phase Pro has the answer:

Hmm… 6:18 AM. Seems doable.

Now, what are we supposed to do during the light of the full moon? I think it’s supposed to be a time to reflect on what you got accomplished through the last cycle Celebrating your wins is vital to scratch that Dopamine itch, a quick bump never hurts, right?

Notion has my back here. I set a template up, and used it for the first time:

It’s a Journalling Session AKA ritual…

The point is to realign your actions with your goals.

I like rituals; they impart a reason to do it, a rule by itself. I enjoy writing.

How about you? Do you do anything with the moon, aside from looking at it?
