Day 19: Pivot into Lughnasadh

The plan was to prepare a Creamy Cilantro Chicken dish—I even thought about it during my Morning DUMP exercise (DUMP stands for Dump, Upload, Manage the urgency, and Process).

Yeah, I didn’t have Cajun spice, and the nearby Walmart was out of fresh coriander. Normally we’d be SOL, right?

But, in the spirit of WWJDD, we can look at what we have. Tomato olive sauce? Green and Yellow beans that need to be used up? Chicken breasts just need a quick pounding, and now it’s almost like a lighter Cacciatore.

Sometimes you have to Pivot.

So, what is Lughnasadh?

It’s an ancient tradition where you celebrate the official harvest, in the Northern Hemisphere it’s on Aug 1st. It’s also a great time to reflect on your progress with the goals set in the beginning of the year; a mental check-in.

This year I’m going to take this Lughnasagh writing prompt, and combine it with the Waning Buck Crescent Journal Prompt. This way I can see what to focus on when I make my Sturgeon New Moon prompt.

À demain!
